The UTC Sentinel® is designed to automate urinal flushing and utilizes water for flushing in the most effective manner. Programmable delay options and controlled flushing based on patterns of urinal use make the UTC Sentinel® the most cost effective solution available.
School boards and other facilities across Canada are utilizing
the UTC Sentinel® as a viable alternative to conventional
flush valves. This product was originally designed by Water
Matrix™ to reduce water consumption associated with wasteful
urinal tanks.

After thousands of successful urinal tank retrofits,
the UTC Sentinel® is now being installed in new construction.
It is less expensive to purchase than sensor operated flush
valves (in washrooms with two or more urinals), and significantly
reduces maintenance cost normally required with manual and sensor-operated
flush valves. Consisting of a programmable control unit, a passive
infrared motion sensor and a slow-actuating solenoid valve,
the UTC Sentinel® provides flexible programming to ensure
urinals are always flushed after use, and periodically during
periods of inactivity. Unlike flush valves, this product is
virtually maintenance free. It will minimize water consumption
and eliminate many of the typical costs associated with flush
valves such as leaks, vandalism, and continual repairs and upgrades.
