Water Matrix uses a mix of it’s own teams and vetted, Water Matrix trained subcontractors to complete work around the country. Subcontractors are required to complete multi stage training with Water Matrix prior to being approved for work.

Proficiency Toilets

Because Hennessy & Hinchcliffe’s patented toilet design combines air and water to flush, at least 800 grams of waste can be cleared with every flush. To put that into perspective, solid waste from an adult is typically 300 grams or less.

No, Proficiency installs easily and quickly using the same practices as most other toilets. Proficiency does not require any electrical hook up or unique plumbing.

Proficiency toilets do not require any extra maintenance vs standard toilets. Because Proficiency is flapper free, maintenance is even easier, with the seal on the flush tower being replaced in under 60 seconds at a fraction of the cost of a traditional flapper.

Parts for the Proficiency toilet line are available through most major plumbing wholesalers in Canada as well as Home Hardware retail stores. Customers may also choose to purchase parts direct from Water Matrix Inc. by contacting orders@watermatrix.com.

Yes, Proficiency toilets sold after 2018 can be plunged like any other toilet. Older models without a check valve on the air transfer system can also be plunged, but should not be plunged aggressively.

Evolve Smart Shower System

Because bating routines don’t change based on how fast hot water arrives, properties with hot water re-circulation can often save more water Evolve. If a user routine is 3 minutes long on average, and hot water arrives after 30 seconds due to hot water re-circ, instead of 60 seconds in a non re-circ system, Evolve will turn flow off water flow, sooner resulting in an extra 30 seconds of water savings during the users pre shower routine.

No. Evolve allows water to flow at a slow trickle, keeping water warm and stopping pressure from building up in your water supply lines.

Yes! No tub spout, no problem. Evolve has models that can accommodate stand up showers and still apply all the same ShowerStop technology and savings. You can still enjoy Evolve’s water and heating fuel savings no matter what design your shower is.

No, Evolve does not regulate temperature and is not an anti-scold device. Evolve manages the flow of water, with temperature being set by the user.

No, the pull chord can be removed and the user can simply press down on the activation lever beside the showerhead. Chords can remain in place in baths where children or user wit disabilities cannot reach the showerhead.

Penguin Overflow Toilets

No. Penguin is a standard drop in replacement floor exit toilet. It installs like other floor exit toilets, with wax gasket and bolts/nuts connecting the toilet to the flange. No special tools, no special parts. Just protection.

No. Penguin has two layers of protection for overflows. In the unlikely event the ports at the back of the bowl were to become clogged, the bowl’s rim jets also drain to the secondary trap-way, keeping your bathroom protected.

The secondary drain system is rinsed out completely every time the toilet is flushed eliminating the risk of odour after clogs.

Yes. Penguin comes in round front, elongated and short rough in models' with a toilet to fit every scenario and bathroom.

Yes, like a standard toilet, you can plunge a Penguin toilet to remove a clog in the trap-way.

LeakPRO Shut Off Valve

LeakPRO batteries typically last 4-5 years. Where # of toilet users is higher, battery life can be reduced. Where # of toilet users is lower battery life can be extended.

Every LeakPRO is programmed to send out an audible beep once battery life reaches 10%. This warning lets users know it’s time to replace the 3 AA batteries that power the device.

If the audible low battery alert is ignored and LeakPRO’s batteries die, the valve will fail in a closed position, turning off water flow to the toilet tank. This eliminates the risk of leaking/overflow even when LeakPRO’s power is gone. The tank and bowl will typically be emptied after 1-2 uses, alerting the user to the failed batteries and closed valve position.

No. LeakPRO never records, stores or sends data about toilet usage, water usage, number of flushes etc. Your privacy is intact with LeakPRO.

No. LeakPRO does not use a turbine or battery recharge mechanisms. This keeps the cost of LeakPRO affordable and ensures that when batteries die, the replacement cost is low, (under $5 USD) vs recharge systems that may require proprietary battery changes valued at over $50USD with labour. Recharge systems also see diminished value/importance when installed on low flow toilets, as reduced water requirement to refill the tank after use, minimizes the charging capacity and proprietary battery life.

Yes. UTC can be used in new builds and renovation projects. Using UTC can help reduce build costs by eliminating the need for flushometers at each urinal.

Yes. UTC requires a power source to function and should be hardwired to your building electrical system.

UTC can service up to 6 urinals per device.

Yes. UTC can be programmed to flush at peak times, like lunch hours, breaks etc. It can also be programmed to flush during vacancy periods (summer breaks etc) to keep smells minimal and water flow moving in older pipes and waste lines.
