Elongated Toilet Bowl
Longer and more oval. The most common shape in modern Canadian homes. Measure from mounting bolts to front — approximately 18.5" confirms elongated.

Round Toilet Bowl

How to Measure Your Toilet Bowl
STEP 1
Locate Mounting Bolts
Find the two bolts at the back of your toilet bowl where the seat attaches.
STEP 2
Measure to the Front
Measure in a straight line from bolts to front of bowl. ~16.5" = round, ~18.5" = elongated.
STEP 3
Check Bolt Spacing
Measure the distance between the two bolt holes. Standard spacing is 5.5" to 7.5".
STEP 4
Check Tank Clearance
Measure from bolt holes to the front of the tank. You need at least 1.5" of clearance.
